About Course
Diploma in Optometry Technology (DOPT) is a three-year diploma course in which students are designed to teach students the different concepts of eye-health, diseases, diagnosis and treatment of the human eye. The main objective of the course is to produce trained ophthalmic personnel for rendering eye care services to the masses. After the completion of the DOPT course candidates can work with vision care hospitals as a part of a team with ophthalmologists and optometrist and contribute towards the prevention of blindness.

Eligibility
The minimum qualifications required to complete a Diploma in Optometry Technology is as follows
1. Candidates must have passed Class 12th or equivalent qualification from any recognised board in India.
2. Candidates need to pass class 12th examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics as their main subjects
3. Candidates need to secure at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
