National Testing Agency (NTA) released the exam pattern of NCHM JEE. While preparing for NCHM JEE, candidate should be aware of its exam pattern to prepare in right direction. It is a national level examination conducted to offer admission in hotel management courses offered by various NCHMCT affiliated institutions.
NCHM JEE: EXAM PATTERN
Question paper is divided into 5 parts namely Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language and Aptitude for Service Sector.
The Paper comprises Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in the following areas:

1. The medium of Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only.
2. Option of medium of Question Paper should be carefully chosen by the Candidate, while filling the Application Form online. The option once exercised cannot be changed.
3. In case of any ambiguity in translation/construction of a question in the exam, its English version shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.
NCHM JEE: MARKING SCHEME
Questions from the above-mentioned sections will be asked in NCHM JEE 2022 Examination, where General Knowledge & Current Affairs comprise 30 Questions of 4 Marks each, Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude comprise 30 Questions of 4 Marks each, Reasoning and Logical Deduction comprise 30 Questions of 4 Marks each and Aptitude for Service Sector comprise 50 Questions of 4 marks each and English Language comprise 60 Questions of 4 marks each summing up to 200 Questions and 800 Marks.
1. Each question carries four (04) marks.

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR HOTEL MANAGEMENT JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (NCHM JEE) EXAM
As per the NCHMCT JEE eligibility criteria, candidates need to meet the age limit and the specified academic qualifications. The eligibility criteria of NCHM JEE also includes the parameters for physical fitness that candidates must meet. The candidate’s eligibility for NCHM JEE Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:-
1. Age Limit & Relaxations
2. National Physical Fitness
3. Educational Qualifications
NCHM JEE EXAM: AGE LIMIT & RELAXATIONS
There is no age restriction for appearing in NCHM JEE as per the New Education Policy.
Reservations
(A) In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below:
1. 15% of the seats Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates.
2. 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.
3. 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List*
4. 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General - EWS) candidates.
Reservation for Kashmiri Migrant (subject to notification from Ministry of Education for Academic Session).
(B) Each category mentioned above will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disability as defined in Section 2 (r) and 2(zc) of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016.
(C) In the case of the Institutes run/aided/recognized by State Governments, the reservation policy of the respective State Governments shall be applicable.
1. The benefit of reservation for admission to Central Educational Insititutions (CEIs) shall be given only to those classes/castes/tribes which are in the respective Central List published by the Government of India from time to time.
2. Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer (OBC–NCL) are as per the Central listof Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes(NCBC), Government of India website www.ncbc.nic.in Thus, the candidates falling inthis list may mention OBC in the Category Column. State list OBC Candidates who are not in OBC-NCL (Central List) must not choose OBC-NCL.
Provisions relating to Persons with Disability (PwD)
1. As per Section 2(t) of the RPwD Act, “Persons with Disability (PwD)” means a person with long term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairment which,in interaction with barriers, hinders his full and effective participation in society equally with others.
2. According to Section 2(r) of the RPwD Act, 2016, “persons with benchmarkdisabilities” means a person with not less than forty percent (40%) of aspecified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurableterms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority.
3. The “specified disabilities”, which are included in the Schedule of the RPwD Act, are as follows:

NCHM JEE EXAM: PHYSICAL FITNESS
All qualified candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate of carrying out practical claims as required in course at the time of admission from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format.
NCHM JEE EXAM: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. Plus two level examination in the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education of any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
3. General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/SriLanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
4. High School Certificate Examination of Cambridge University. Any Public School / Board / University Examination in India or in a foreign country recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) /Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary Education.
5. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) as well as State Board of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the Subjects.
6. H.S.C. Vocational Examination approved by NCVT and SCVT of concerned State/UT.
NCHM JEE EXAM: ELIGIBILITY HIGHLIGHTS
1. To become eligible to apply for NCHMCT JEE, applicants should have qualified 12th class or equivalent from a recognized board with English as the main subject.
2. Appearing applicants in the 12th standard are also eligible to apply for NCHM JEE.

NCHM JEE 2022 exam was conducted on June 18. The exam was conducted across 75 test cities from 10 am to 1 pm. NCHM JEE EXAMINATION SELECTION PROCESS
The selection and admission to the affiliated Institutions is subject to fulfilling the Admission Criteria, Eligibility, Rank in Merit List, Medical Fitness, verification of original documents and such other criteria as may be prescribed by the NCHMCT.
Based on marks scored by a candidate in NCHMCT JEE, he/she will be allotted an All India Rank (AIR). No group discussion or personal interview round is conducted for shortlisting candidates. So, admission is offered only on the basis of NCHMCT JEE merit and rank.
NCHM JEE EXAMINATION STUDY PLAN
The only deciding factor for the selection or rejection of a candidate is the Strategy & Planning which is used by them for their preparation for the NCHM JEE Examination. Step 1- Registration: Click on the official website nchmjee.nta.nic.in. On the homepage click on the link ‘Fill Application Form’. Login using your application number password and security pin.
Step 2- Confirmation of Password: In the registration form, candidates need to enter the name, mobile number, email ID. Upon successful registration, candidates will be provided with the provisional registration number and password.
Step 3- Filling out the application form: At this stage, candidates had to enter all the relevant details carefully before submitting the NCHM application form. After this, an application number was generated. Candidates had to refer to this application number for all their future correspondences.
Step 4- Mode of Payment:The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated

Educational Qualification
1. Plus two level examination in the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education of any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
3. General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/SriLanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
4. High School Certificate Examination of Cambridge University. Any Public School / Board / University Examination in India or in a foreign country recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) /Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary Education.
5. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) as well as State Board of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the Subjects.

Therefore, candidates must ensure that they leave home well in advance considering all facts like traffic, location of the Centre, weather conditions, etc. Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately after the opening of the Examination Hall.
2. The candidate must show, on-demand, the Admit Card for admission in the Examination Hall. A candidate who does not possess a valid Admit Card shall not be allowed to enter the Examination Hall by the Centre Superintendent.
3. A seat with a roll number will be allotted to each candidate. Candidates must find out and occupy their allotted seats. If a candidate is found appearing in the Examination from a seat or room other than the allotted one, the candidature shall be cancelled.
4. During the examination time, the Invigilator will check Admit Card of the candidates to ascertain the identity of each candidate. The Invigilators will also put their own signature in the place provided in the Answer Sheet and on the Attendance Sheet.
5. Candidates are not allowed to bring any barred item or any item which could be used for Unfair practices. Possession of any such article with the candidates inside the Centre premises will attract the penalties of unfair practices.
