GPAT: MODE OF EXAMINATION
GPAT Examination will be held as an online computer-based test. Questions will be Objective type Multiple choice in nature.
GPAT: MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION
The medium of Question Paper shall be in English only.
GPAT: MARKING SCHEME
The Marking Scheme for GPAT is given below:
1- Each question carries 04 (four) marks.
2- For each correct response candidate will get 04 (four) marks.
3- For each incorrect response 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score.
4- To answer a question, the candidates need to choose one option corresponding to the correct option.
5- Un-answered/Unattempted will be given no marks.
6- However, after the process of Challenges of the Answer Key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Answer Key will be awarded marks.
7- In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.

GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST (GPAT) EXAM
Candidates willing to apply for GPAT Examination are required to fulfill certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification, etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The candidate’s eligibility for GPAT Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions :-

GPAT EXAM: NATIONALITY
The candidate must be a citizen of India.
GPAT EXAM: AGE LIMIT & RELAXATIONS
There is no age restriction for appearing in GPAT.
Reservations :-
1. In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below:
i) 15% of the seats Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates.
ii) 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.
iii) 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates.
iv) 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General - EWS) candidates
v) Persons with Disability (PwD) with 40% or more disability
2- Each category will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disabilities..
GPAT EXAM: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry students) or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s Degree B.Pharmacy (10+2+4) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year can also apply for GPAT Computer Based Test (CBT).
2. B.Tech. (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology)/ equivalent candidates are not eligible to apply.

GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST (GPAT) 2023 EXAM ANALYSIS
GPAT 2024 exam will be conducted on 22nd May 2023 in 2 Shifts from 9 AM - 12 noon (Shift 1) and 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM (Shift 2).
GPAT Paper Analysis 2023 Shift 1
1. The GPAT 2023 exam difficulty level was moderate.
2. There was no change in the exam pattern in GPAT 2023 Exam.
3. The Pharmaceutics section was the easiest among all others.
4. The Pharmaceutical Chemistry section was comparatively the most difficult one than the other sections.
5. The Pharmacognosy section was moderate.
6. The Pharmacology section of the question paper was easy to moderate.
7. The section of questions from reaction and its process were highly difficult.
8. There were many conceptual questions as well, alongside 30-35 easy ones, in the morning slot of the GPAT 2023 exam.
9. The topics with maximum weightage in GPAT 2023 Exam were Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy.
10. A total of 125 questions were asked for 500 marks.
GPAT Paper Analysis 2023 Shift 2
1. The overall difficulty level of the GPAT 2023 Exam was easy to moderate.
2. No changes were recorded in the exam pattern for GPAT 2023 Exam.
3. The Pharmaceutical Chemistry section was the most difficult among all others.
4. The difficulty level of the Pharmacognosy section was moderate as per the students' reactions.
5. The Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology sections of GPAT 2023 Exam Shift 2 were easy in comparison to others.
6. About 30-35 conceptual questions were asked in the exam, in addition to other application-based questions.

GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST (GPAT) 2022 EXAM ANALYSIS
Graduation Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2022 has been conducted on April 9, 2022 from 9 AM to 12 PM. According to the experts, the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate to difficult. The question paper of GPAT 2022 had a total of 5 sections. They are Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, and other subjects.
GPAT question paper contained 125 questions and the examination was conducted for a total of 500 marks. For every right answer, +4 marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer, -1 mark will be deducted. The duration of the examination was three hours and the exam was conducted in CBT Mode.

1. Registration: Candidates complete their registration by following steps given below:

Candidates who have lost their application number can easily retrieve it by selecting the Forgot the application number option present on the bottom right-hand side of the sign-in page. Candidates have to provide their basic details such as name, father’s name, and date of birth to retrieve the application number.
