National Law University, Delhi has prescribed the exam pattern for AILET 2022. The exam pattern specifies the structure of the question paper, type of questions asked in the exam, marking scheme, and more. Also, it will help you get an idea of how the question paper will be framed.
The exam consists only of major law subjects such as Jurisprudence, Law of Torts, Contract Law and so on.
AILET LL.M. 2022 EXAMINATION : EXAM PATTERN
The modified syllabus of AILET 2022 for LL.M. Programme is as follows:
The AILET 2022 for LL.M programme will have two (2) sections. Section A will have 100 multiple choice questions and a candidate has to answer two (2) descriptive questions from Section B. The examination will be for 90 minutes.
Section A will consist of two parts:
Part 1: English language (50 questions; 50 marks)
Part 2: Legal reasoning (50 questions; 50 marks)
Section B will have eight to ten questions from different branches of law. The candidates will have to answer any two (2) descriptive questions of 25 marks each. (Total marks for section B: 50)
The evaluation of Section B, the following process is applicable:
The university will prepare a list consisting of three times the number of seats for each category of students, taking into account the reservation policy of the University, on the basis of total marks secured in Section A. Evaluation for Section B will be done only for the candidates covered by this list.
The final rank list will be prepared based on a combination of the scores in Section A and Section B.
Negative marking: There will be Negative Marking in Section-A in AILET 2022. The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25*4=1 that means per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of one (1) mark.
If two or more candidates get the same marks at the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) their merit will be decided as follows:
a) Senior Age;
b) Computerized draw of lots

AILET LL.M. 2022 EXAMINATION : MARKING SCHEME
1. Every correct answer will be awarded 1 mark.
2. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to a deduction of 1 mark.
3. For unattempted questions, there will be no negative marking.

The candidate’s eligibility for AILET LL.M. 2022 Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:-

1. Candidate must be a citizen of Indian.
2. All candidates, other than those applying under the Foreign Nationals category, should appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and selection shall be solely on that basis. The Foreign National and OCI/PIO candidates are also required to apply online on the same portal.
AILET LL.M. 2022 EXAMINATION : AGE LIMIT & RELAXATIONS
There is no specific age limit mentioned to apply for AILET 2022 Exam.
AILET LL.M. 2022 EXAMINATION : EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Below mentioned are the AILET 2022 eligibility criteria for the LL.M. Programme :
1. To be eligible to appear for admission to One year- LL.M. Programme, a candidate should have passed the LL.B or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disability category).
2. Candidates appearing/awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also apply and appear in the Entrance Test. However, the eligibility by such candidates shall have to be obtained by the cut-off date, which will be notified along with the Notification of Entrance Test result, and in case such candidate is placed in compartment in year of the admission would be treated as ineligible.
3. The admission for Foreign Nationals shall be made on the basis of:
(a) Academic record of LL.B. or equivalent degree recognized by the UGC/ Association of Indian Universities with not less than 55% marks or the equivalent grade.
(b) Assessment of necessary communication skills in written and spoken English and performance at the interview in terms of aptitude and capacity.
Reservation Criteria :
Accordingly, there are 15% seats reserved for the SC category, 7.5% for the ST & 5% horizonal reservation for the Person with Disabilities. The university offers one additional supernumerary seat for Kashmiri Migrants & two additional supernumerary seats for Residents of Jammu & Kashmir.

ALL INDIA LAW ENTRANCE TEST (AILET) LL.M. PROGRAMME 2021
All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a national level entrance examination. It will be conducted by the National Law University (NLU) only once in a year. Candidates will get admission in LL.M programme.
AILET 2021 Result has been released along with the All India Merit List on August 4, 2021, by NLU on its official website for the exam conducted on July 30, 2021 (2 pm to 3:30 pm). AILET 2021 Counselling will be held from August 5 to August 14, 2021. Shortlisted candidates can register for the counselling from August 5 (11:00 am) onwards.

AILET 2022 results were declared on July 1 for BA LLB course, and on July 2 for LLM course. NLU Delhi released the final answer keys for AILET 2022 BA LLB, LLM, and PhD courses before publishing the results. The counselling process of AILET 2022 for BA LLB course will also begin from July 1 onwards, however, the counselling schedule is yet to be shared. The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2022 was held on June 26.
This year, NLU Delhi has removed two sections from AILET exam pattern i.e. Elementary Mathematics and Legal Aptitude. Therefore, the AILET question paper will be based on three subjects English Language, Logical Reasoning, and Current Affairs and General Knowlege. The sectional weightage for AILET 2022 has been changed as well.

AILET( LL.M) 2022 EXAM COUNSELLING PROCESS
The AILET online counselling process includes the following steps:
Step 1: Check AILET invite list
Firstly, all the qualifying candidates need to check their names/roll numbers in the invite list released by NLU Delhi. The invite list will be released for BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses separately.
Step 2: Register for AILET counselling
All candidates whose names/roll numbers appear in the invite list then have to register themselves for the counselling on the NLU Delhi admission portal -
Upload all the prescribed documents
Pay AILET counselling fee of INR 50,000
Step 3: Check provisional admission list
Next, NLU Delhi will release the provisional admission lists containing the names, roll numbers and marks of candidates selected for admission. In case, there will be any vacant seats after the first list, the second admission list wil also be released by NLU Delhi on the official website.
Step 4: Pay balance fee
Lastly, candidates who wish to accept the seat then need to pay the remaining amount of admission fee in online mode.
