Eligibility Criteria

Higher Secondary (10+2) / CBSE / other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with not less than 45% of marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST candidates). The applicant should be a candidate who participated in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT Latest Score Card). Eligibility and admission procedure for seats under the NRI/OCI quota will be separately notified on the website.

Three / Five years B.L. or LL.B. or B.L. (Hons.) or LL.B. (Hons.) or it's equivalent thereto with not less than 55% in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST candidates). The applicant should be a candidate who participated in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT-Latest Score Card.).

Eligibility Criteria

Available in Full & Part-Time Mode.

Obtained a Master’s Degree in law (regular mode) from any recognized University including a foreign University securing not less than 55% marks or its equivalent.

Or

Obtained a Master’s Degree (regular mode) in any discipline from a recognized University including a foreign University with not less than 55% marks or its equivalent.

And

There shall be an Entrance Test for the Ph.D. Degree program. All the candidates including Foreign Nationals and NRIs who wish to pursue a Ph.D. degree program at the University shall be subject to Entrance Test. The University reserves the right to conduct the said test in the cities wherever reasonable numbers of candidates appear for the said test.

Or

All the candidates who have applied for Ph.D. Degree programme shall appear for All India Entrance Test except those who have qualified UGC NET, JRF, CSIR, SLET, GATE, M.Phil., a Judge who has served for minimum three years as a Judge of High Court in India or Judge of the Supreme Court of India, as per these Regulations. A candidate who has already obtained a Ph.D. Degree in any of the disciplines shall also be exempted from the Entrance Test for subsequent Ph. D. Degree Programme.

Entrance Test Pattern: The Entrance Test shall be a written examination of Two (2) hour duration of one hundred fifty (150) marks comprising the following two parts: (a) Part I – Research Methodology (50 MCQs) for 02 marks each. (b) Part II – Emerging Issues in Law (01 Question with additional option) Essay Type for 50 marks.
