About College	J. D. Women's College is a Constituent unit of Patliputra University, Patna. It was established in the year 1971 to foster the cause of education for women in the state of Bihar. The college possesses a campus of 2.41 acres with student strength of 5,000 and 125 strong core faculty members along with 25 visiting/ guest faculties. This institution is a multi faculty college, imparting teaching up to Degree Honours stage in Science and Post-Graduation stage in Arts. Under Vocationalization of education programme of the Govt. of India, the College introduced the teaching of Vocational courses at Degree Honours stage in the year 1997 and Post-Graduate Professional Courses in the year 2002.
