About Career
1. To be an Image Consultant, the first thing you need to have is a passion for helping others to change their lives by enhancing their soft skills. Required Qualification & Competencies
Structured training and formal certification are pre-requisites for Image Consultants. The best part is that your educational qualification may be of senior secondary level or Doctoral level, you are anyway eligible to be an Image Consultant. However, it is advisable to complete graduation in any discipline so your professional advice/ suggestions are more acceptable to your clients. Since you will mainly be performing the role of an advisor, the more qualified you are, the better it is for you.
After Class 11-12, you can go for the following and then go for Image Consulting courses:
1. D. Voc. (Diploma of Vocation), B. Voc (Bachelor of Vocation) courses in any vocation.
2. Bachelor / Master degree courses in any discipline.
You can also work for 3 to 15 years or more after completing your education in your respective field and then go for Image Consulting courses to be an Image Consultant.

This includes various ways to inform and entertain people via print, audio, audio-visual and online media.

You should have knowledge of Counseling - how to assess, evaluate and otherwise understand human behavior, personality, abilities, skills, knowledge, motivation, attitudes, values etc. and offer guidance and advice to people in order to help them deal with mental challenges and crisis as well as for deciding future courses of actions to make people happy.
7. You should have knowledge of Customer Service - how to provide customer services. This includes understanding customer needs, helping customers to use products and services, answering customer queries, handling customer complaints and grievances, and evaluating customer satisfaction.

2. For personal consultation work, consultants may charge anywhere between Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 10,000 per hour or more. For corporate training assignments, the charges vary between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 50,000 per day. For open workshops, charges vary between Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 10,000 per participant. Image Consulting is a multibillion-dollar industry which is 40 years young. The market size is huge amounting to almost 0.09 billion US Dollars and growing exponentially. India’s Soft Skills Training and Grooming market by itself (organized and unorganized) stands between Rs. 50,000 crore to Rs. 1, 00,000 crore. This has been one of the world’s fastest growing industry in the past 10 years and image consulting will become a need in the next 2 years or so.
