About Career
1. As a Butler, you will be working either as an in-charge of all domestic workers, housekeepers, cooks, pantry stuff in a large household of a wealthy person or as an in-charge of different sections such as housekeeping, washing, pantry, etc. You will be working as a personal assistant of wealthy persons in their houses.
2. As a Butler, you will be providing assistance to other domestic workers in handling household chores such as washing, cleaning, cooking and even child care at times. You will also be working as an in-charge of the entire Parlour floor.
3. As a personal Butler for a wealthy person at his or her home, you may provide all kinds of assistant to the person, right from serving him or her tea, coffee, breakfast, meals, and drinks to keeping his clothes ready to wear and keeping his room neat, clean and organized. You may also sometimes double up as his personal secretary (at home) and even as a personal chauffeur. You may make a shopping list for the household items and food items, either shop yourself or get it done by other designated assistants, and keep accounts of the money spent.

1. Consistently provide thoughtful, caring and sincere service to the household members.
2. Identify the needs of the household members and ensure that their needs get fulfilled.
3. Ensure that the rooms of members are ready as per their needs.
4. Ensure that the household policies, procedures, and services are followed as per the instructions.
5. Ensure that the safety measures and safety policies are followed properly.
6. Assign duties to domestic workers.
7. Refill the pantry stuff and other stuff from time to time as per the necessities.

Career Entry Pathway
Class 10 all subjects as per scheme of studies – Class 11-12 with any subject combination as per scheme of studies – Obtain a 3/4 years Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management or similar field - Work Experience in a hotel – Apply for training from any Butler training center or institute
After completing class 12 and after obtaining a 3/4 years Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, you need to obtain work experience in a star hotel in front office management/guest services/housekeeping management/food & beverage services management. After which you can apply for training as a Butler from any Butler training center or institute.
Required Qualification & Competencies
You can first obtain a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Administration and Management. Hotel and Catering Administration & Management, Hotel Operations Management & Services, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or similar fields.
Then you can obtain training from a Butler training institute.

Salary Offered
1. At the beginning of your career, as an Assistant to the butler, you may expect to get about Rs. 10,000 – 15,000 per month.
2. After 2-4 years of experience, as a head of various sections or functions, you may expect to get about Rs. 15,000 – 25,000 per month.
3. However, with experience and reputation, after 8-10 years of experience, as a head butler or personal butler, you can earn anything between Rs. 50,000 – 1,00,000 or even more per month.
