UP POLICE SI EXAM

The UP Police SI Exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the Sub Inspector posts. The UP Police Recruitment notification was released by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board which announced 9,534 vacancies for the post of Sub Inspector Civil Police (Male/Female), Fire Service II Officer (Male), and Platoon Commander/Sub Inspector Armed Police (Male).

UP POLICE SI: EXAM PATTERN

The UP Police SI exam will be an online-based objective type exam. Candidates need to clear this stage in order to qualify for the next stage of the selection process. The UP Police SI exam pattern is as follows.

1. The question will be objective type.
2. There will be a total of 160 questions.
3. The exam will be of a total of 400 marks.
4. There is no negative marking for any wrong answer.
5. The test is bilingual i.e., Hindi and English language except for the General Hindi part.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Below mentioned are the required physical standards for the post of UP Police SI. Go through the table carefully

NOTE :

1. Female Candidates should at least weigh 40 kgs.
2. Male Candidates should have a minimum of 5 cms of chest expansion.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates who clear the Physical Standard test will qualify for the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates have to cover a certain distance in a specific time period, details of which are mentioned below

Race –
Male – 4.8 KMs in 28 minutes.
Female – 2.4 KMs in 16 minutes.

UP POLICE SI: MODE OF EXAMINATION

The question will be objective type.

UP POLICE SI: MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION

The exam questions will be asked in both Hindi and English language except for the General Hindi section

UP POLICE SI: MARKING SCHEME

1. There is no negative marking in this exam
2. For every correct answer, candidates will get 2.5 marks

UP POLICE SI 2022 EXAMINATION

Candidates willing to apply for UP POLICE SI exam are required to fulfill certain conditions to be eligible for the UP POLICE SI exam. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification, Nationality, etc., shall be rejected by the authorities.

The candidate’s eligibility for UP POLICE SI  exam is based on the fulfillment of the following conditions:-

UP POLICE EXAM: NATIONALITY

1. The candidate must be an Indian citizen

2. The Tibetian refugee who have migrated to India before January 01, 1962

3. Indian origin persons from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Uganda, and the United Republic of Tanzania who has now settled permanently in India.

UP POLICE SI EXAM: AGE LIMIT & RELAXATIONS

Age limit is one of the important criteria in UP Police SI Eligibility. Candidates must check the minimum and maximum age limit required as of 1st July 2021 for the SI post

Minimum Age: 21 Years

Maximum Age: 28 Years

Age relaxation is provided to the candidates who belong to the ST/SC category or as per the Government rules.

UP POLICE SI EXAM: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

The minimum qualification required to apply for the post of UP Police SI is graduation from a recognized university in any stream.
The candidates opting for Fire Officer 2 post must be a Science graduate

UP POLICE SI EXAM : MEDICAL STANDARDS

Apart from the above-mentioned criteria, candidates must ensure they have good and health for the post. Physical health is also checked by the doctors. Various tests are performed to check if the candidate has any ongoing medical treatment or disease. The body parts like knees, eyes are also checked by the official. Read below to know the test that is conducted to analyze the candidate’s health.

1. Eyes test ( sight + color blindness)
For Eye Sight- Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without glasses. The candidate must not squint in the eyes.

5. Hands and Legs without any major problems ( barefoot must be seen).
6. Knock knee test

Physical Standard Criteria - Height & Weight

The minimum weight for females must be 40kg. In the case of male candidates, a chest expansion of 5 cm is mandatory. The other necessary physical standards are as follows:

UP Police SI Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Race

Candidate fitness is measured in the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates are made to perform various tasks which include runnings, etc. The test is qualifying in nature. A candidate who will qualify for this round will be eligible for the next round. We advise candidates to get the proper running and exercise to get into the PET round. 1. Understand syllabus: This is the first step that must be followed for your exam preparation journey. Any competitive examination has a defined syllabus and the previous year papers to refer to for exam pattern and difficulty level. First, go through the notification of any exam and then go through the past year's papers so that you can get to know what you are getting into.

2. Create a study timetable: It will allow you to dedicate fixed hours to your exam preparation every day. Hence, it will reduce the last-minute exam-related stress and pressure. It is essential to manage your time wisely and smartly to achieve success. Dedicate fixed time to study, recreation, and your other daily activities to avoid distractions.
