Dedicate 60-70% of your study time to ESI and Finance & Management. Strengthen macroeconomic concepts, financial system topics, management theories, and banking developments. Revise Budget highlights, Economic Survey insights, RBI updates, and financial inclusion initiatives.
Descriptive Practice
Improve typing speed to at least 25-30 WPM. Practice daily essays of 300-400 words, along with précis and report/letter writing. Structure answers with Introduction, Main Analysis (supported by examples, data, schemes), and Conclusion. Practice writing balanced and analytical answers rather than theoretical ones.
Objective Paper Focus
Do not neglect the 50-mark objective sections in Paper II and Paper III. Practice paragraph-based, numerical, and conceptual MCQs from ESI and Finance. Focus on application-based questions and clarity of fundamentals.
Mock Tests
Take one full-length Mains mock every 2-3 days. Analyze mistakes carefully and work on weak areas. Attempt descriptive answers in typing mode to simulate real exam conditions. Focus on improving structure, time management, and content depth.
Current Affairs & Reports
Daily read PIB releases, RBI notifications, and Ministry updates. Focus on the impact and objectives of schemes related to financial inclusion, rural credit, development finance, and banking reforms. Revise key data points from Economic Survey and Union Budget.
Revision Technique
Prepare concise notes with short summaries, flowcharts, and key definitions for quick revision. Revise important topics such as inflation, fiscal policy, monetary transmission, financial markets, Basel norms, leadership theories, and corporate governance regularly. Multiple revisions are more effective than learning new topics at the last moment.
English Descriptive
Read editorials from financial newspapers to improve content quality and vocabulary. Practice one essay and one précis or letter daily. Focus on clarity, coherence, logical flow, and grammatical accuracy.
Time Management
Study 8-10 focused hours daily with short breaks. Divide time between ESI, Finance & Management, English, and current affairs. Maintain consistency and avoid burnout. Include light exercise and proper sleep in your routine.
