Section wise Insights
1. Analytical Reasoning Skills (Part I & II)
Difficulty: Moderate
Focus on: critical reasoning, puzzles, input/output, coding & decoding, syllogisms, arrangements.
Expected Good Attempts: 22–25 per part.
This section usually tests logical thinking in different formats.
2. Verbal Skills (Part I & II)
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Includes reading comprehension, grammar, sentence completion, para jumbles, vocabulary?related questions.
Expected Good Attempts: 20–22 per part.
RC passages tend to be slightly lengthy. Be sure to practice reading speed.
3. Quantitative Skills (Part I & II)
Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult
Topics often include arithmetic, algebra, number systems, percentages, profit & loss, data interpretation.
Part II is generally considered tougher and more time?consuming.
Expected Good Attempts: 18–22 per part.
Quant often becomes the most challenging part — prepare speed and accuracy.
Good Attempts & Score Expectations
Total Questions: 180 questions
A good overall attempt (with accuracy) is around 135–145 attempts.
With correct time management and strategy, scoring above 650+ (scaled) is considered strong in many colleges.
Key Trends (Based on Previous Papers)
The pattern stays consistent with six timed sections (30 questions each).
Quantitative section continues to be tricky and lengthy every year.
Analytical Reasoning and Verbal Skills are generally moderate — good practice can boost attempts here.
Consistent practice of previous year papers and mocks gives a strong edge.
What This Means for ATMA 2026
Expect a balanced mix of moderate and slightly difficult questions.
Focus your preparation on Time Management, Accuracy, and Speed, especially for Quant.

ANALYSIS EXAM PAPER ATMA 2023 EXAM
ATMA 2023 exam was conducted on 25 February, 2023. The section wise analysis of the ATMA 2023 exam are given below:
Analytical Reasoning Skills (Part I & II)
The majority of the questions in the reasoning section were moderate to difficulty, although there were a few somewhat lengthy questions. In this section, critical thinking questions predominated, and there were also questions based on coding-decoding puzzles, input-output topics, and inference-based problems. Given that these areas have in the past been included on the ATMA exam, the section followed the expected paths and was straightforward to complete.
Verbal Skills (Part I & II)
In the February session of ATMA, the majority of the questions in the verbal part were taken from reading comprehension passages. These were lengthy but not difficult to comprehend or attempt the questions that were associated with them. The subsequent questions were designed to test the students' understanding of various grammatical concepts. There were no direct questions on vocabulary-based themes such as synonyms, antonyms, or any of the other examples given. In comparison to the other sections, this one was by far the easiest.
Quantitative Skills (Part I & II)
The quantitative exam, which included problems from arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and current mathematics, was the most complex of all the sections. There were a lot of questions that required clever strategies to answer quickly because they took up a lot of time. This section consisted primarily of questions pertaining to DI and contemporary mathematics, with the remainder of the questions being drawn from the number system, profit and loss, and other areas of study.
OVERALL ANALYSIS
ATMA Exam Section | Ideal Attempts | Difficulty |
Analytical Reasoning Skills (Part I) | 22 - 25 | Moderate |
Verbal Skills (Part I) | 20 - 22 | Easy to Moderate |

There were a lot of questions that required clever strategies to answer quickly because they took up a lot of time. This section consisted primarily of questions pertaining to DI and contemporary mathematics, with the remainder of the questions being drawn from the number system, profit and loss, and other areas of study.
