Initially, for the first few years, till the end of 2006, the main function of the cell was to provide career counseling to the students.

About College	Jamshedpur Women's College, established in 1953, is a general degree girl's college in the Jharkhand state of India. It was founded by Perin C Mehta who also dabbled in poetry. In 1962 the college got its own compound which was given by visionary philanthropist Ratan Tata.
