About College	The government polytechnic Tanakpur was inaugurated in the month of August 2013 from the premises of the local agricultural production market committee, Tanakpur. Three-year diploma in civil engineering and computer science and engineering diploma courses were started in this institution. Control courses are conducted on the basis of standards set by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The entrance examination and semester examinations are conducted by the Uttarakhand Technical Education Council Roorkee constituted by the Government of Uttarakhand.
