placement The SRM  School of Law offers three courses which include a five-year B.A LLB (Hons), five-year B.Com LLB (Hons) and three-year LLB (Hons). In these honors courses, students will learn legal subjects as well as non-legal subjects like History, Political Science, Human Resource Management, fundamentals of accounting, to name of few. They will go for an internship to learn and gain practical knowledge in the legal field.Moot Court Hall is the place where the students used to be trained by the faculties and make them participate in the Moot Court competition in other universities. Moot court is an extra-curricular activity in the college. The College strives to integrate the theory and practice of Law in the campus through regular moot court selection to participate in different universities. The students are trained to improve their analytical, research, oratory skills which would support them to be successful in their careers.

About College

SRM, which offers courses in other disciplines, felt the need to foray into the field of law. SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) has recently launched SRM law school with an aim to yield future legal professionals to our country. N Balu, the former vice-chancellor of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) in Cochin, has been appointed as the dean of the school. He was also the former professor and head of the department of legal studies, University of Madras.

The school will function under the aegis of the faculty of science and humanities, whose director is R Balasubramanian, who is the former head of the department of politics and public administration at the University of Madras.
