The College of Applied Science, Calicut which started functioning in October 1993, is an avante gardre attempt in the arena of Electronics and Computer education in the Malabar area initiated by the IHRD. The Institute of Human Resources Development is an autonomous educational institution established by the Government of Kerala during 1987.
