Eligibility Criteria
Master of Computer Application (MCA) is a three years (Six Semesters) program divided into five semesters of core teaching at the college level and the last semester has been dedicated for live project work to be undertaken at a firm engaged in software development, so as to enable the students to be aware of the latest state-of-the-art technology in the related/specific field of his/her interest.
And Lateral-Entry two –year (four semesters) divided into three semesters of core teaching at the college level and the last semester has been dedicated for live project work to be undertaken at a firm engaged in software development.
The subject combination required in the qualifying examination (intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or it's equivalent) for admission to the first year of different courses shall be as follows:
Compulsory Subjects – Physics & Mathematics
Any one of the following Subjects - Chemistry/ Bio-Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject
And
For admission to the first year of MCA in any institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, a candidate must have passed a Bachelor’s degree course of three years minimum duration from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U. securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate. Candidate must have passed Mathematics at 10+2 level or Graduation level.

Entrance Exam to Qualify – UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam) Entrance exam Conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh
Entrance Exam Structure – All 100 objective type questions of 400 Marks, No negative marking, 2 Hours 30 Minutes Paper. The test is aimed at evaluating the verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, logical & abstract reasoning and knowledge of current affairs.
Entrance Exam Tentative Dates – Exam to be held in April and Result declaration in June
