The Gangadhar Mohapatra Law College, Puri, Odisha was established in the year 1981 in the holy city of Puri and is named after the name of Gangadhar Mohapatra, former law Minister of Odisha and a renownd educationist. The College is permanently recognized by the Govt. of Odisha and permanently affiliated to Utkal University and enjoys the approval of B.C.I. the Governing Body of the College is constituted by the Director, Higher Education, Odisha as per the provisions of Odisha Education(Establishment, Recognition & Management of Private Colleges) Rules, 1991. The College imparts quality education in 3 yr. LL.B degree course since its inception i.e. 1981 and the course curriculum is designed by Utkal University as per the guidelines issued by UGC and Bar Council of India from time to time. The college Maintains high academic excellence in providing teaching to its law graduates. The placement record of the students in State Judicial Service, Banking Service, State Law Officers Service and in other National and Multinational Company is outstanding. During the last University examination (2012-2013) ten no. of students passed LL.B degree with first class which is a rare distinction.
