About Career
1. As a Showroom/Store Hostess, you will be working in a showroom or store to receive customers, respond to their inquiries about the products and services. You will make customers feel comfortable in the showroom and make it easy for them to shop around. You will be required to assist customers to check various products, answer their queries, provide them product information, and assist them to purchase.
2. For example, if you work at the store of Sabyasachi, the famous fashion designer, you will be receiving rich and celebrity customers, making them feel comfortable, escort them around the store, assist them to check various clothes and accessories on display, answer their queries about the products, and assist them to purchase. You will ensure that the customers have rich and satisfying experience in shopping.
3. Similarly, if you are working in a car showroom such as NEXA showroom, then you will be greeting, escorting, and assisting customers who want to know about various car models on display and make purchase decisions. You will make the customers comfortable and answer queries that they may have on various specifications of the car models on display.
4. You will be responsible for managing interactions with the existing or potential customers as well as manage relationships with the existing customers of the showroom in which you work. You will be required to understand the requirement of the customer and will be responding to them accordingly.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
As a Showroom/Store Hostess, you will be engaged with one or more of the following roles and responsibilities:
1. You will be required to greet and assist the customers who are arriving in the showroom you are working in.
2. You will be required to escort and seat the customers and offer them refreshments such as tea or coffee or water.
3. You will be required to provide a catalogue or brochure or specification card of the product or services to the customers.
4. You will be required to resolve queries of customers as well as complaints related to products or services quickly and efficiently.
5. You will be required to understand the needs of the customer and address them accordingly.
6. You will be required to register feedback from the customers visiting your showroom at the time of their departure from the store or showroom.
7. You will be required to build and maintain a profitable relationship with your customers.
8. You will be required to meet your managers, internal communication team members, and content development team members, to integrate or modify the communication script.

Career Entry Pathway
Class 10 all subjects as per scheme of studies – Class 11-12 with any subject combination as per scheme of studies – Get a job as an Assistant or trainee.

After Class 12, you can apply for a job as an Assistant or trainee in various luxurious showrooms such as Car showrooms, Jewellery Showrooms, Apparel & Garment Showrooms, etc. and then after gaining a certain number of experiences; you may get promoted as a customer associate or floor executive.

After Class 12, you may apply for any Bachelor’s Degree such as BA, B.Com, B.Sc., and BBA, etc. And then can apply for various job opportunities available in various luxurious showrooms such as Car showrooms, Jewellery Showrooms, Apparel & Garment Showrooms, etc. as a trainee or intern.

After Class 12, you may obtain NSQF (National Skills Qualification Framework) Level 3 Qualification in Showroom Hostess or Host. For obtaining this qualification framework, you need to be 18 years of age and also you must have completed on the job training as a showroom hostess or host (it is compulsory).

After Class 12, and after obtaining Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any Discipline, you may obtain NSQF (National Skills Qualification Framework) Level 3 Qualification in Showroom Hostess or Host. For obtaining this qualification framework, you need to be 18 years of age and also on the job training is suggested (but not mandatory) for those who have ASDC (Automotive Skills Development Council) certificate or graduate degree in any discipline.

After Class 12, you may obtain NSQF (National Skills Qualification Framework) Level 3 Qualification in Showroom Hostess/ Customer Relationship Executive. For obtaining this qualification framework, you must have completed on the job training as a showroom hostess or host (it is compulsory).

After Class 12, and after obtaining Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any Discipline, you may obtain NSQF (National Skills Qualification Framework) Level 3 Qualification in Showroom Hostess/ Customer Relationship Executive. Required Qualification & Competencies
After Completing Class 12, you may:

Career Growth
Here is how you may grow, from a trainee to a showroom hostess. After having 4-5 years of experience, you may grow and become senior showroom hostess, and then may become a showroom manager. However, promotions are few and far between as progress upward. Most people move up to a Senior Showroom Manager role.
