The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) is anticipated to announce the results of the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) 2025-26 between May 22 and May 25, according to Board Chairman Alok Raj. Alongside the result declaration, the board has increased the number of teacher vacancies by 2,000 and released an updated notification for candidates.

The REET recruitment covers Level 1 for primary classes (Classes 1 to 5) and Level 2 for upper primary classes (Classes 6 to 8). Officials have stated that preparations for publishing the results are nearly complete.

Chairman Alok Raj explained that the results were delayed due to the passing of board official P. L. Bairwa, who was responsible for crucial aspects of the examination results. Additionally, several objections raised by candidates regarding certain exam questions contributed to the delay. He mentioned, “Results are expected to be released between May 22 and May 25. All pending recruitment results are likely to be announced between May 31 and June 3.”

REET 2026 Vacancies Increased by 2,000

The original recruitment notification, issued on November 6, 2025, had listed 636 vacancies in the Sanskrit Education Department and 5,000 posts in the Elementary Education Department. The number of positions in the elementary education sector has now been raised to 7,000. The examination for REET 2025-26 was conducted on January 17 and 20, 2026.

Regarding stenographer recruitment, the chairman noted that the process is currently under a court review. The results for librarian and Village Development Officer (VDO) recruitment are also expected shortly. The VDO recruitment involves nearly 200 provisional cases currently under examination. Candidates who appeared for the REET 2025-26 exam are advised to frequently check the RSSB official website for updates on the result declaration, revised vacancies, merit lists, and subsequent recruitment procedures.
