The complete schedule and important information regarding the NEET UG 2026 re-examination were officially announced on Friday. The re-test will now be conducted on June 21 after the original examination was cancelled following the paper leak controversy.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan confirmed the revised examination date during a press conference and shared key updates related to admit cards, exam timings, examination city selection, and fee refunds for candidates.

According to the announcement, fresh admit cards for NEET UG 2026 will be issued by June 14. Candidates will also be given another opportunity to choose their preferred examination city through a new correction window, considering that many students may have changed their location after the cancellation of the previous exam.

Important Dates for NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has also updated the exam timing. The re-examination will now be held from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. The additional 15 minutes have been provided for attendance verification and other exam-related formalities.

In a major relief for aspirants, the government announced that no extra fee will be charged for appearing in the re-test. Additionally, the examination fee paid for the cancelled NEET UG 2026 exam will be refunded to candidates.

The original NEET UG 2026 examination was conducted on May 3. However, the test was later cancelled after allegations of a paper leak and circulation of leaked question paper PDFs sparked widespread concern among students and parents across the country.
