The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE), Pune has released the MAHA TET 2025 admit card for candidates appearing in this year’s Teacher Eligibility Test. Applicants can now download their hall tickets from the official website, mahatet.in, using their registered username and password.

MAHA TET 2025 Exam Date And Schedule
The MAHA TET 2025 examination will be held on 23 November 2025 in two shifts:
Paper 1: 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Paper 2: 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Candidates should reach their designated exam centre well before reporting time and strictly follow the instructions issued by MSCE for the examination day.

Supreme Court Ruling Highlights Importance Of TET
This year’s MAHA TET process carries greater significance following a recent ruling by the Supreme Court of India. The Court clarified that clearing the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is compulsory not only for aspiring teachers but also for those already in service who seek promotions.
However, the Court has allowed certain exemptions:
Teachers appointed before the implementation of the RTE Act, with less than five years of service left, are exempt.
Teachers working in minority institutions are temporarily exempt until a larger bench decides whether RTE provisions apply to such institutions.
According to state education authorities, 70% to 75% of teachers in Maharashtra will be required to pass the TET within the next two years. Failure to do so could lead to termination. Teachers whose total service duration fulfils the required norms will continue to receive their retirement benefits.
