The Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued the AFCAT 2026 notification for candidates aspiring to join the force through the Air Force Common Admission Test. Interested applicants can access the direct application link on the official website. The registration window will open on November 17, 2025, and remain active until December 14, 2025. The online AFCAT 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 31, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit
Flying Branch (AFCAT and NCC Special Entry): Candidates must be between 20 and 24 years of age as of January 1, 2027, i.e., born between January 2, 2003, and January 1, 2007 (both dates inclusive).
The upper age limit for candidates holding a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by DGCA (India) is 26 years, i.e., born between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2007.
Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: Candidates must be aged between 20 and 26 years as of January 1, 2027, i.e., born between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Examination Fee
Applicants are required to pay an examination fee of Rupees 550 + GST. Payments must be made online through credit/debit cards or net banking via the payment gateway. Payments through cash, cheque, or demand draft (DD) will not be accepted.
About the Examination
The AFCAT 2026 online test will consist of 100 objective-type questions carrying a total of 300 marks. The exam duration will be 2 hours, and the paper will be conducted in English only.
