Ukraine's Yaroslava Mahuchikh broke the world record for the highest female leap on July 7th. The previous record has stood since 1987. In the Paris Diamond League, she reached an incredible height of 2.10 metres.

Stefka Kostadinova, a Bulgarian athlete, previously set the mark with a jump of 2.09 meters. Nicola Olyslagers, the global indoor champion from Australia, caused Mahuchikh a lot of difficulties in this event. Yaroslava Mahuchikh, a high jumper from Ukraine. She was born on September 19, 2001 in Dnipro. The 2019 World Athletics Championships were held in Doha, and she won bronze. She was barely eighteen. Mahuchikh is a great star in her community. In 2020, she achieved a world junior indoor record with 2.02m. In 2022, she jumped 2.03 meters at a meet in Stockholm. Mahuchikh also won gold at the European Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland, in 2021. During the Russian war on Ukraine in 2022, she was forced to leave her training center in Dnipro to continue working, demonstrating her strength and determination in difficult circumstances.
