Description

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) 2024 will open registration for the Joint Entrance Lateral Engineering Test (JELET) on February 8, 2024. Interested candidates can finish the registration process by going to the official website

The form correction window will be open from March 13 to March 15, 2024. Candidates can make updates and changes to their applications by entering the correct information. They will be unable to make any changes after the revision window closes.

Eligibility Criteria For JELET 2024 Exam

  • Diploma holders seeking admission to engineering and technology degree programmes must have passed a three- or two-year (lateral entrance) diploma examination with at least 45% marks. Candidates belonging to the reserved category must have obtained 40% marks in any discipline of engineering and technology, or must possess a BSc degree from a recognized university as determined by UGC, with at least 45% marks. 

  • To be admitted to Jadavpur University, a candidate must obtain at least 60% (45% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD) or an equivalent CGPA in the diploma examination. DVoc candidates are not eligible for admission to Jadavpur University via lateral entry.

  • Candidates for engineering and technology degree courses must have a BSc or BVoc degree from a university recognized by the UGC with at least 45% (40% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD) marks. 

  • Diploma holders in pharmacy seeking admission to a degree program in pharmacy must complete their diploma with at least 45% marks. Reserved category candidates must have received 40% marks or equivalent CGPA from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.

 Application Fee For JELET 2024

The application fee for the JELET 2024 exam is Rs 500 for general male candidates and Rs 400 for general female candidates. Male candidates from the SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and EWS categories will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 400. Meanwhile, female candidates from the SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and EWS categories will have to pay Rs 300. Third-gender candidates will have to pay Rs 300 to finish the application process.
