The vessel, entitled "dream" in Chinese, was created by the China Geological Survey in partnership with 150 research institutes and corporations. Mengxiang is a massive ship with outstanding capabilities, weighing 33,000 tonnes and reaching 179 meters (590 ft). It has a range of 15,000 nautical miles and can stay in port for 120 days.
