The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (WBCHSE) has started the Class 12 Higher Secondary Examination from today, April 2.
The WB board exams for Class 12 will be held at home center on the scheduled days, which means that the tests will be held at the examinees' individual schools. The tests, which will take place between April 2 and April 27, will be held at the students' respective schools.
According to sources, 7.45 lakh students are expected to sit for the Class 12 exams, which begin today.
The Bengali (A), English (A), Hindi (A), Nepali (A), Urdu, Santhali, Odia, Telugu, Gujarati, and Punjabi papers will be given on the first day of the WB Class 12 exams.
"Examinees will write the exams at home centres (own schools) because particular covid norms must be observed in making seating arrangements for the candidates, which necessitates more school facilities than in previous years," WBCHSE President Chiranjib Bhattacharya said at a news conference.
Students must bring their admit cards to the exam hall because they will not be allowed to enter without admit cards.
In the exam room, electronic devices will not be permitted. A 15-minute extension will be offered to students to read the question paper.
The practical exams took place from February 15 to March 4, 2022. The practical exams were conducted by the schools.
